28 APRIL 2010. ARTfeast’s 13th annual weekend of events was a major success, including the Friday night, February 26th, Edible Art Tour (EAT), which brought out nearly 1,800 participants from 32 states. More than 40 members of the Santa Fe Gallery Association partnered with the city’s best restaurants to provide an extravaganza of food, fine art, and fun in the Railyard, Downtown, and Canyon Road arts districts.
Included in the fun was a competition hosted by ARTsmart for the best presentations in the categories of overall presentation, costumes, and theme. Judges included EAT organizers and ARTsmart Board Members Bruce Adams and Bonnie French, who proudly announce the following winners:

WINNER: Giacobbe Fritz Fine Art & GF Contemporary, 702 & 707 Canyon Road. The gallery’s Wizard of Oz theme with its re-creation of the famed Yellow Brick Road, Emerald City, and costumes was a masterpiece in execution.
RESTAURANT PARTNERS: Whole Foods Market Catering & Rooftop Pizza.
PRIZE: half-page ad in the Santa Fean Magazine
WINNER: Evoke Contemporary, 130 Lincoln, Downtown. The gallery created a Spaghetti Western theme that carried through in both the food and costumes. The atmosphere was decidedly Italia-Cowboy.
RESTAURANT PARTNER: Il Piatto Cucina Italiana.
PRIZE: $125 Gift Certificate to Pasqual’s Restaurant.
WINNER: Zane Bennett Contemporary Art, 435 S. Guadalupe Street, Railyard. Sandy Bennett and her team created a lively modern ambiance with their exhibits of Contemporary Masters and Spanish Prints complemented by rave reviews for Zia Diner.
RESTAURANT PARTNER: Zia Diner.
PRIZE: $100 Gift Certificate to the Old House at the Eldorado Hotel & Spa.
Proceeds from the sale of tickets to EAT and all ARTfeast events return to the Santa Fe Public Schools for art materials, programs, and scholarships.
