February 2011. On Friday, February 25, 2011, the 14th Annual ARTfeast Santa Fe kicks off its weekend of events with two luncheons, the Edible Art Tour “dinner graze” in more than 40 galleries, and Feast or Famine, a “be-there” dance party for the over-21 crowd.

Music.  Celebrity maestros spinning Old Skool Hip Hop, Electro, and House music are DJs King George, Joe Ray Sandoval, and Maynard Del Mar, who is part of the team that recently brought Blu 102 into the 21st century.

Scene. People-watching is part of the excitement at Milagro 139, where dancers can boogie under a light show provided by Lumenscape Lighting or enjoy the action from the balcony overlooking the dance floor.

Libations. Milagro’s renowned list of specialty tequilas and cocktails are available in the cash bar; and beer and energy drinks are provided by Premier Distributing. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres by Milagro Chef Fernando Ruiz and co-host Coyote Cafe Chef Eric DiStefano keep you fueled.

Tickets. Start the evening at the Edible Art Tour from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Canyon Road and Downtown, and your $35 ticket/button gets you into Feast or Famine for free.  Or show up at Milagro’s door, where entry is $15.

Cause. All proceeds from Feast or Famine and other ARTfeast events benefit ARTsmart, a volunteer nonprofit organization that raises funds to support art projects, mentors and materials for Santa Fe’s schoolchildren.

Underwriters. Feast or Famine is generously underwritten by American Art Collector and Western Art Collector, the nation’s best-read art magazines.
