The issue: Northern New Mexico is a culturally vibrant region with thriving arts traditions, histories and economies, yet not all students attending the public schools in this region have access to equitable, high-quality, and culturally responsive visual arts education.

Impact

  • Students develop confidence and self-discovery by expressing their voices and insights through their artworks, which are celebrated at community events and exhibits.

  • Students gain knowledge of varied career paths in the visual arts and are included in our region’s arts economies and arts communities.
